Jürgen Scheffler is a north-German artist whose works are heavily influenced by his immediate surroundings, the world he lives in. Especially the topics and visuals of coasts and the sea, as well as excerpts of urban everyday life make up his motifs. He mostly paints Plein Air and tries to capture every facet of natural lighting. Scheffler’s works convey a sort of longing thematic and visual depth, owing to his loose painting style.
